- A. You can make personal contributions at any time. They’re also called non-consessional
contributions because they’re made from your salary after income tax has been deducted.
Does this cost anything?
Yes, you will need to pay transaction costs.

- A. The Government recently introduced a law allowing you to ‘split’ your contributions between
you and your spouse. The law doesn't apply to same sex couples.
The rules.
This applies to contributions made after 1 January 2006. Requests can only be made in the financial year following the introduction of the law – in normal speak, after 1 July 2006.

Your spouse will need to send us a cheque payable to Virgin Super with your Membership Number on the back. Send it to Virgin Super, Reply Paid 83154, Haymarket, NSW, 1239.
