Virgin Money elevates credit card offerings with new Anytime Rewards Credit Card and other uplifts

Virgin Money is set to redefine the credit card experience with the launch of its new Anytime Rewards Credit Card and a series of exciting enhancements to its credit card offerings.

This strategic initiative is a part of Virgin Money’s latest endeavour to become Australia’s most rewarding bank.

The online bank has introduced three key changes:

  1. Launch of the Anytime Rewards Credit Card.
  2. Extension of the Virgin Money Rewards Program to the Low Rate and No Annual Fee credit cards, as well as the new Anytime Rewards Credit Card.
  3. Additional Virgin Australia and Velocity Frequent Flyer benefits on the existing Virgin Australia Velocity Credit Cards.

Virgin Money’s Group Executive, Retail Banking, Greg Boyle said: “Marking 21 years of putting customers first, Virgin Money is delighted to announce the launch of the Anytime Rewards Credit Card alongside other credit card uplifts.

“Our latest enhancements are designed around our customers’ preferences, offering more rewards, more perks, and more points, anytime. These uplifts reaffirm our unwavering commitment to becoming Australia’s most rewarding bank.”

 Virgin Money Rewards Program extensions:

The Virgin Money Rewards Program will apply to the new Anytime Rewards Credit Card as well as the Low Rate and No Annual Fee credit cards. The program includes:

  • No limits to the points a customer can earn1.
  • Ability to earn bonus points and benefits from brands like THE ICONIC, Pet Circle, Menulog and Milkrun2.
  • Flexibility in how customers can redeem points in the Virgin Money app for what matters to them, like cashback3 and gift cards from retailers including Woolworths, Coles, Amazon, JB Hi-Fi and Bunnings4
  • Customers can also convert points to partners participating in our Travel Loyalty Program5 like Velocity Frequent Flyer Points6 and other loyalty programs, erase recent select purchases7 and more.

“Unleashing the power of flexibility, we expect our customers will particularly enjoy the freedom to transfer Virgin Money points to Velocity Frequent Flyer Points and other loyalty programs,” added Boyle.

New Anytime Rewards Credit Card:

With Virgin Money’s new Anytime Rewards Credit Card, customers can earn one Virgin Money Point for every dollar on eligible spend, uncapped1. Points can be redeemed with flexibility via the Virgin Money Rewards Program. And as a special launch offer, cardholders can earn 80,000 bonus Virgin Money Points (equivalent to around $400 worth of gift cards) when they spend $3,000 or more on eligible purchases in the first 3 months from card approval8.

Virgin Money’s existing Low Rate and No Annual Fee credit cards will now be able to earn bonus Virgin Money Points2 through partner offers via the Virgin Money app.

Additional Virgin Australia and Velocity Frequent Flyer benefits:

  • Virgin Money has also made enhancements to the Velocity Point-earning Virgin Australia Velocity Flyer and High Flyer credit cards to reward customers when they purchase flights with Virgin Australia. These include:
    • Virgin Australia Velocity Flyer cardholders will now earn 1 bonus Velocity Point for every $1 spent directly with Virgin Australia9. This is on top of the standard Points customers will receive.
    • Virgin Australia Velocity High Flyer cardholders will now earn up to 100 bonus Status Credits each year when purchasing and taking an eligible Virgin Australia flight10, and 2 extra Velocity Points per $1 spent directly with Virgin Australia9.
