Important update

With widespread travel restrictions in place, Velocity Frequent Flyer temporarily pausing some redemptions, and Virgin Australia currently working through voluntary administration, Virgin Money has removed Velocity Points on all new home loans.

If you applied prior to 25 May 2020 and your home loan settles by 31 August 2020, you will still earn Velocity Points1 upfront, ongoing and on anniversaries. Existing Reward Me Home Loan customers are not impacted and will continue to earn Velocity Points1.

  • I have a Reward Me Home Loan. What Velocity Points1 do I earn?

    Customers who have an existing Reward Me Home Loan or who applied before 25 May 2020 and settle by 31 August 2020 earn:

    Settlement

    10,000 Points for every $100,000 drawn on settlement2

    1,000 Points per month

    A further 1,000 Velocity Points every month (per loan account)5

    30,000 Points every 3rd year

    Receive 30,000 Velocity Points every 3 years3 you are a continuous Reward Me Home Loan customer, when your loan balance remains above $50,000

    It’s worth noting that if you make a material change to you loan including a restructure and/or opening a new loan account on or after 25 May 2020, you may no longer be eligible to earn Velocity Points. Please contact our Customer Care Team on 13 81 51 to discuss any changes you’re are considering.

  • I applied before the 25 May 2020. Do I still receive Velocity Points?

    Yes. Provided your application was lodged before 25 May 2020, and settlement occurs by 31 August 2020, you will earn Velocity Points1 as per the Reward Me Home Loan Terms & Conditions.

  • How are Velocity Points1 transferred to me?

    For customers who have an existing Reward Me Home Loan or who applied before 25 May 2020 and settle by 31 August 2020, the Points earned on your home loan will be automatically transferred into your Velocity Frequent Flyer Account at the following intervals:

    • Settlement Points will be transferred 14 days after the loan has settled.
    • Monthly Points are paid in arrears and are transferred within the first 7 days of each calendar month, so you should see them in your Velocity account by day 8.
    • Anniversary Points are transferred within the first 7 days of the calendar month after your anniversary. So if your loan anniversary is the 7th June, you should see them in you Velocity account by the 8th July.
