It is not a guarantee that the cost of the insurance will be the same as the estimate produced by the calculator. If you choose to apply for cover within the Fund, the eventual premium you pay could be different (including for example because the premium rates have changed since you used the calculator, or because a premium loading is applied as a result of underwriting) however, if you make an application you will always be notified of the actual premium payable.
The calculator results are not an offer of insurance and are not a guarantee that the types or amounts of cover will be available to you. If you choose to apply for cover, your application may be subject to an underwriting assessment, and acceptance is not guaranteed. Where you have insurance through the Fund, your superannuation contributions are used to pay the premium. Acceptance is not guaranteed, so if you've already cancelled it and your new application isn't accepted, you could end up without any cover. The general risks of this can include, but are not limited to: losing benefits you may have accrued under your existing policy; your existing and replacement insurance containing different terms, conditions, features or benefits; waiting and qualifying periods starting again; and the risk of making errors or omissions in your application for replacement cover (which could result in your cover terms or premiums being changed, or your cover being cancelled).
