What is contents insurance?
Contents Insurance covers valuables like appliances, furniture, jewellery and more against loss or damage from insured events such as storms, theft or fire (including bushfire).
While you'll need Building Insurance to protect the building itself, Home Contents Insurance can cover your important personal belongings if one of these unfortunate insured events occur.
Contents insurance for renters
Not a homeowner? You can cover your contents too! Renters can take out contents insurance with Virgin Money. Even if you don’t own your home, you can still enjoy peace of mind knowing your possessions and valuables are covered in the event of unforeseen circumstances.
You may not need to worry about insurance for the building you’re living in if you’re renting. But the furniture, clothes and precious personal items are all your own responsibility. If the worst happens and your home and belongings are damaged in a theft, storm or fire, it’s essential that you’re covered.
